About

Our Story

Since its inception in 1926, Sedgefield Country Club has gratified and continued to foster Greensboro’s passion for golf. This purpose has evolved to encompass active lifestyles from the tennis court to spin class, and our commitment to the longevity of the sport of golf allows the club to flourish.

Our golf course features a compelling layout from fabled architect Donald Ross. The course is an exquisite design with small, undulating greens and rolling fairways that create a challenge for the expert player, yet offer fun for the beginner. Between our Top 20 rankings from GOLF.com and the North Carolina Golf Panel, and hosting the PGA Tour’s Wyndham Championship, our members take pride in calling Sedgefield home. While enjoying the course, you’ll notice the pure golf experience in the condition of the greens, the welcoming atmosphere and attention to detail our staff provides from the front door to the finishing hole. Better course conditions, variety and pace of play in the Triad are hard to come by.

Beyond golf, our family-focused property includes active junior programs coupled with state-of-the-art fitness and aquatic facilities for the whole family to enjoy. The Sedgefield clubhouse hosts themed dinners, banquets, corporate events and elegant weddings in Old World yet tastefully modern dining areas. Our inventive Executive Chef never ceases to amaze whether breathing new life into age-old favorites or presenting worldly new flavors.
