About

Our Story

Since its 1925 inception, Sedgefield Country Club has gratified and continued to foster Greensboro’s passion for golf. This purpose has evolved to encompass active lifestyles from the tennis court to spin class, and our commitment to the longevity of the sport allows the club to flourish.

Our golf courses feature two compelling layouts from architect greats Donald Ross and Pete Dye. Sedgefield Country Club is in fact, the only property in the country to couple courses from these two legends. The Ross course is an exquisite design with small, undulating greens and rolling fairways that create a challenge for the expert player, yet offer fun for the beginner. Ranked 13th in North Carolina and hosting the PGA Tour’s Wyndham Championship, our members take great pride in calling it home. A short drive North, the Dye course offers and equitable test for golfers of all skill levels with its two lakes and meandering creeks that add both beauty and challenges to the course. While enjoying either course, you’ll notice the pure golf experience in the condition of the greens, the welcoming and encouraging atmosphere and the attention to detail our staff provides from the front door to the finishing hole. Better course conditions, variety and pace of play in the Triad are hard to come by.

Beyond golf, our family-focused property includes active junior programs coupled with state-of-the-art fitness and aquatic facilities for the whole family to enjoy. The Sedgefield clubhouse hosts themed dinners, banquets, corporate events and elegant weddings in old world yet tastefully modern dining areas. Our inventive Executive Chef never ceases to amaze whether breathing new life into age-old favorites or presenting worldly new flavors.
